C-Section Complication

“C sections”, or Caesarian sections, are sometimes performed if there are delivery complications. C-sections may be performed if the baby is in a breech position, the mother suffers from gestational diabetes, the delivery process takes an extremely long time, or there are problems with the umbilical cord.

Sometimes a C-section is necessary, but others it may pose additional, avoidable risks. Some complications that may arise during a c-section are infection, increased blood loss, a weakened uterine wall, or decreased bowel function.
